Everything you need to know before your first appointment with Dr. Han.
Yes — Dr. Han is currently accepting new patients at all four locations. You can book online via Healow, call (602) 258-4788, or text (602) 693-0736.
You may benefit from a consultation if you have persistent pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, or limited movement in your hand or wrist that hasn't improved with rest or conservative treatments. Dr. Han will evaluate your condition and discuss all surgical and non-surgical options — surgery is always a last resort.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by pressure on the median nerve at the wrist, leading to numbness, tingling, and hand weakness. Mild cases can be managed with splinting or injections. When symptoms are severe, Dr. Han performs carpal tunnel release — one of the most common and successful hand surgeries with a fast recovery.
Dr. Han accepts most major insurance plans including Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Anthem, and Workers Compensation. Please call (602) 258-4788 to verify your specific plan prior to your appointment.
Dr. Han is one of the few surgeons in Arizona who is double board-certified in both Plastic Surgery and Surgery of the Hand. His fellowship training at Harvard Medical School gives him advanced expertise in microsurgery and peripheral nerve surgery. He also has unique specialties in migraine surgery and pediatric hand conditions, offering patients a breadth of care rarely found in a single practice.
Recovery time varies by procedure. Minor surgeries like carpal tunnel release or trigger finger release typically allow return to light activity within 1–2 weeks. More complex procedures such as fracture repair or nerve reconstruction may require several weeks to months of recovery and hand therapy. Dr. Han will give you a detailed recovery plan specific to your procedure.
